Easter Weekend in GR

A few pics here, of some happenings in GR this past weekend:

Marley turned 2 on Saturday, April 3rd. Kim and Paul had planned on hosting an outdoor pizza party in their newly finished back-yard, but it RAINED! So we gathered inside instead, in their cozy almost finished basement apartment, to celebrate Marley's birthday.

Later in the day, when it was still raining, we gathered at Fred and Sharon DeJongs, where Kim and Paul hosted a light supper for everyone with birthday cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARLEY!

There were many special moments on the weekend. Here's Claire, Emma and Eden eating Pillsbury cinnamon rolls at our basement apartment in Eastown. These are the same kind of cinnamon rolls that Grandma Veenstra used to make for us (me, my siblings and cousins) when we were little.

On that same afternoon, we made sock-puppets while the parents were taking care of Levi, Harper, and also Marley.

On Friday evening, we hosted supper out of our apartment. I think it just abit noisy for our tenants upstairs! Here are Harper and Levi with their new hats and sun-glasses from their Nana and Papa

And Marley with hers:)

A typical meal scene. This pic was taken at Kristin and Curt's. They hosted a big breakfast at their house as well as a scrumptious Easter Lunch on Sunday.

Nice egg, Marley!

Levi got into it too. Harper missed the event because he was sleeping.

An attempt to get a group shot where everyone is looking at the camera. Nearly impossible. Besides, Harper is missing!

All in all, it was a great weekend. Except for the rain during Marley’s birthday party, the weather was sunny and pleasantly warm. The cousins really enjoyed eachother and so did the bigger people:)
