Different Pace

Our household has been delightfully busy, and then again, slower than usual, with Emma, Claire and Levi here the past 5 days. We find ourselves shifting back to old very familiar rythmns that once again revolve around nap/rest times, feeding times, and most often it seems, pooping times.  Kristin and Curt will be back to claim their little ones in a few more days. Meanwhile we’re enjoying a different pace around here.

Here are a few pics taken yesterday:

Emma and Claire making stew in the backyard. They used twigs, rocks, spaghetti noodes, a wide variety of dried beans and even tried adding some deer poop until they came and asked me, "What's this Nana"? We made a joint decision to leave the deer poop alone after that. There must be a deer-path going through our yard, becaue almost every morning we see 4-5 deer slowly walking by our living-room windows.

warming up inside with Papa

Levi enjoying a few giant kitchen utensils. We have discovered that he loves sitting in the laundry basket! The holes on the sides are really fun to insert little fingers or toys into, and the red basket of toys doesn't slide away out of reach. Sometimes he sits right up on the kitchen counter in his basket, to watch kitchen activity at eye level.

Oops! I did rotate this picture counter-clockwise before inserting, but apparently it didn’t take.

Now for an arial view of Levi in his basket:

Up here, Levi!

He is so sweet, and such a cuddler, which we enjoy so much.

A typical moment at least 3-4 times a day--doing "crafts" at the kitchen island.

Well……naptime is now over. On we go for the rest of the day. In about an hour or so, we’re going over to Farrell’s to watch Papa kick-box.
