Orlando

Ok, we’re back from our long weekend trip to Orlando, and the only picture we’ve got is of a parrot that lived in the hotel where we stayed. Sorry we didn’t take more pics. Don’t know the name of this parrot, but he/she sure was pretty.

This guy lived in the lobby of the hotel where we stayed. On the morning we got up real early to run, we thought we had heard a voice commenting about "no light" (electiricty was out)
This parrot  lived in the lobby of the hotel, and due to the open architecture of the building, could be heard all the way up to the 14th floor where we stayed.  On the morning we got up real early to run long, we thought we had heard a voice commenting about “no light” (electricity was out).  We already knew there was no light, because our lights wouldn’t turn on and we had to grope around in the dark to find our running clothes, shoes, watches etc.  By the time we got back two hours later, the electricity had been restored.

We had a great time on this trip. The palm trees and cyprus trees were particularly outstanding.  The alligators (or risk there-of on our dark early morning long run past numerous ponds) were illusive, much to our (mostly my) relief.  Lloyd’s Board-Source conference was inspiring and prompted much dialogue. However, Don Miller’s most recent book about what he learned from editing his life, influenced us the most.  We both read the book and enjoyed much synergetic dialogue about it. It’s just so great to be best friends and married too.
