Salome and Isaiah are engaged! He proposed to her last night in Lansing, MI, with rose petals sprinkled over Salome’s livingroom floor, and MANY candles arranged to spell, “Will You Marry Me”? He and his friend arranged the “proposal”, while Salome and her sister, Peace, were upstairs. When they came down, Salome was totally wowed. She said yes:) She was still “screaming” for joy, when she called us. No specific wedding date has been set. Salome says they have to work that out yet, but “maybe next summer”. It’s nice that the engagement could take place on Thanksgiving weekend, with Salome’s sister and one of Isaiah’s friends present. They all shared a Thanksgiving meal together on Thursday, drove to Grand Rapids to pick up Salome’s stuff from our basement apartment yesterday, and then later last night…………………..BIG NEWS. Salome said we could share this news. So that’s why we’re posting. Isaiah recently finished with his coursework for his PhD in theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Currently, he is working on his dissertation from Philly. We think a move to MI is on the horizon:) Salome is in her first year of law school at Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. We’re sure they will work something out, to merge their lives together. It is so amazing to think that they are from the same village in Benue State. Never met eachother in Nigeria, but found eachother here in the States, able to speak the same Tiv language. Amazing. They make a great couple. Wonder what their future will hold? CONGRATS, SALOME AND ISAIAH!
