Long
Posted in Uncategorized on September 22nd, 2007 by vickiLess than a week ago, Nick and Jess, Reuben and Heidi and Eden, and Lloyd and I joined Long and Kahnh Ho, and their three young daughters, in LA at the Ten Ten Seafood Restaurant for lunch. This was a restaurant well-chosen by Long. Reuben, Heidi, Eden, Nick, Jess, Lloyd and I were all in the LA area, on flight vouchers, for the wedding of our niece (and cousin), Beka Scheur to Craig Schott. After enjoying the wedding festivities in San Bernadino National Forest area on Saturday evening, we headed to LA for Sunday fun.
Long and Kahnh facilitated a delicious Asian lunch on Sunday, Sept. 16th, for the rest of us. Delicious! After that, we all went to Long and Kahnh’s home for awhile. Some of us enjoyed playing Wii :), we looked at an awesome 800 pound Vietnamese sculpture and at scrapbooks for Long’s daughters, (ages 9, 7 and 2). Kahnh made us fruit smoothies, which their two oldest daughters helped deliver. What a blessing to re-connect with Long and his family! It seems like just yesterday when he had just arrived from California, to be a freshman at Dordt College. God is great! God is good! He is defenitely being honored in the way this young family is making their way! We can still remember the years and years of prayers that Long had, for a Christian wife and family. And God has answered that prayer:)

oh, I ate so much food…..and cow spleen…it looked much different from what I pictured a spleen to look like. It was so good to meet Long and his family after hearing so many stories about him.
