Ritz crackers and cheerios
Posted in Uncategorized on March 25th, 2007 by vickiTwo simple requests for the grocery list this week: “We’re out of Ritz crackers….can you get some?”, and “I’ve had a hankering for cheerios all week. How “bout you pick some up?”. So I’m in the cracker aisle, ignoring all the wheat thins and triscuits, looking for the Ritz. Found the red boxes eventually, on the bottom shelf near the end of the aisle. So many choices: Low Fat Ritz Crackers, Low Sodium Ritz Crackers, Vegetable Garlic Ritz Crackers, Whole Wheat Ritz Crackers. So where are the PLAIN ones????? It took awhile, but eventually I found a box of plains way in back of the wheat row. Whew. That’s what he wanted, I knew. Nothing like Ritz crackers. Then came the cereal aisle. So where are the Cheerios? Just plain cheerios, in the size box that would fit a couple with no kids home. No plain cheerios to be found. Only various cheerio versions in LARGE boxes. So I ended up getting a large box of WHOLE GRAIN cheerios. What an illusion of alternatives. So we’ll be eating whole grain cheerios for a long while now, and REAL Ritz crackers for as long as it usually takes us. We’re starting on the first of four wrapped sections of Ritz just now. Extra sharp cheddar cheeze, and GOUDA cheese too, with real Ritz crackers. A nice Sunday evening:)
so many choices…. i only really like original things too..too many different choices in tastes can make it taste gross..at least thats what i think… wierd cravings that dad had tho..
