This has pretty much been a Pine Rest weekend. LAST NIGHT, we went to the open house/dedication of the newly built Pine Rest Clinic in Pella. It was nice to mix with the Pella clinicians/staff and spouses, and to see the fun colors and decor of the new clinic there. It was good, as a group there, to share a liturgy remembering the mission of Pine Rest, and to pray over each of the rooms there, for all evil to exit and God’s spirit to reside. And TODAY, we spent much of our time, cleaning out “the storage room” in the Pine Rest Des Moines Clinic, and making it into Vicki’s new office ( some office shuffle going on, due to a new full-time therapist who will be starting in Des Moines this month). The old storage room is now a warm and hospitable space for Vicki to work with her clients. The “budget” was small, so luckily, Target and Hobby Lobby were cooperative:) It’s now almost 7PM Saturday evening. We are just home and enjoying a warm fire and supper It’s very cold outside, so we’re snuggling up to stay warm. We’re starting to second guess our plan to run 5-6 miles early tomorrow AM. The weather people are predicting 35 degrees below zero with wind chill factor for early tomorrow AM> If we do run, we will have to dress super warm!
